This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct the identification and examination of trees situated along utility lines.
• Record work activities utilizing handheld devices and GIS-integrated applications.
• Act as a point of contact between clients, tree crews, and customer representatives.
• Balance considerations of safety, budget, and community relations.
• Prioritize personal and team safety above all else.
• Engage in short-term projects, rapid start-ups, storm response, and provide coverage for contract positions nationwide.
• Undertake extensive travel for periods of 6 to 8 weeks at a time.
• Oversee a designated geographical area for vegetation management activities.
• Work autonomously in varying terrain and weather conditions.
• An associate degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or a related discipline, or a high school diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant Utility Vegetation Management experience.
• The high school diploma/GED requirement may be waived with 5 years of UVM experience.
• Willingness and experience to work outdoors in all types of weather and challenging terrain.
• Strong tree identification skills are preferred.
• Prior experience in utility vegetation management is preferred.
• ISA Certified Arborist designation is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Pesticide certification is preferred but not essential.
• Capability to travel extensively for 6 to 8 weeks at a time.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with GIS-integrated data collection tools and software is preferred.
• Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
• Comfortable working independently while managing a geographical area for vegetation-related tasks.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required.
