Unity Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Take charge of people management for the engineering team, encompassing performance evaluations and career advancement.

• Foster an environment conducive to a high-performing and engaged engineering team.

• Develop production-quality Unity code as a senior individual contributor.

• Participate in architecture decisions and facilitate the implementation of significant features.

• Spearhead the integration of AI tools within the team.

• Experiment with new AI tools and disseminate successful methodologies.

• Spot automation opportunities and enhance knowledge of backend and AI systems.

• Persistently elevate engineering standards.

• Oversee a live, scaling game with a focus on production quality.

• Balance technical aspirations with revenue-conscious delivery.

• Ensure that changes are reliable, measured, and safe for deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a senior Unity engineer.

• Proficient in clean, robust Unity/C# coding practices.

• Experience in making architectural decisions and establishing technical standards.

• Proven track record in engineering management, including hiring, performance management, and daily oversight.

• Strong and adaptable communication skills across different functions.

• Genuine curiosity about AI tools and their potential to enhance team productivity.

• A strong sense of ownership and proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Capability to deconstruct complex technical issues, formulate hypotheses, and execute with diligence.

• Experience in launching and maintaining live, revenue-generating mobile games, particularly puzzle games at scale (bonus).

• Knowledge of backend or server-side systems for AI-driven workflows and automation (bonus).

• Experience managing technically intricate changes on a live product under production pressures (bonus).

• Ability to collaborate predominantly within European time zones (UTC to UTC+3).

• Proficiency in English as the collaboration language.
