This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide administrative, operational, and technical assistance to the FirePlus underwriting teams.
• Aid in the preparation and evaluation of new business submissions, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
• Input and maintain policy, risk, and customer data within underwriting systems.
• Ensure that underwriting files are comprehensive, precise, and compliant with company standards.
• Collect and verify information necessary for risk evaluation and decision-making.
• Assist with rating support tasks as directed.
• Review applications and accompanying documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Confirm data integrity across various systems and detect discrepancies.
• Manage electronic records and documentation according to company protocols.
• Conduct quality assessments on policy transactions and underwriting files.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and underwriting documentation.
• Act as a liaison for agents, brokers, and internal business partners.
• Address inquiries regarding submissions, policy modifications, and documentation requests.
• Facilitate communication between underwriting, operations, claims, and service teams.
• Provide prompt customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory mandates, and company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
• Assist with departmental audits and compliance evaluations.
• Report to the Underwriting Department Head or a designated member of the leadership team.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in insurance, underwriting support, policy administration, or related administrative roles is preferred.
• Experience in property & casualty, specialty, or commercial insurance sectors is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with policy administration and underwriting systems is preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability and discipline to work fully remotely.
• Proficient in effective communication via phone, video conferencing, and email.
• Flexibility for extensive working hours during peak business seasons from April 1st to July 15th and October 1st to December 15th.
