This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Act as the instructional and administrative leader for VPA Florida.

• Create, execute, and realize the academic vision, student progress, and daily operations of the school.

• Strive towards goals related to student achievement, school culture, and accountability.

• Facilitate the implementation of a standards-based curriculum.

• Review weekly lesson plans and conduct teacher walkthroughs and debriefs.

• Lead data-driven instructional initiatives and assist staff in utilizing data to assess program effectiveness.

• Organize summer educational opportunities and before/after or supplemental programs.

• Ensure the effective implementation of instructional programs across various grade levels.

• Oversee teacher performance metrics and accountability measures.

• Coordinate audits and guarantee compliance with state and sponsor/authorizer regulations.

• Collaborate with IT on school technology initiatives and recommend enhancements.

• Partner with Student Services to align instructional models with student support systems.

• Revise parent and student manuals, policies, and handbooks.

• Articulate the school's mission and vision and seek input from parents and families.

• Foster professional relationships with parents and involve them in school activities.

• Manage special projects, including peer mentoring, service learning, and community engagement.

• Conduct home visits as necessary.

• Address parent inquiries and concerns.

• Handle student discipline and implement conduct, suspension, and expulsion procedures.

• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Education or a related field is required; an advanced degree in education or educational leadership is highly preferred.

• A current valid Principal license is necessary.

• Experience in turnaround initiatives.

• At least three years of experience in an online school in an instructional leadership capacity.

• A minimum of two years of successful school administration or instructional leadership experience in an online school environment.

• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.

• Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks.

• Experience in coaching teachers to enhance their instructional planning, practices, and classroom culture.

• Capability to meet applicable educational standards.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while effectively prioritizing and executing tasks to consistently meet deadlines.

• Understanding of and proficiency in managing confidential information.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
