Trust and Safety Policy, Ads Policy – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Lead the creation, drafting, and upkeep of strategic advertising policies for Reddit's advertising products as the subject matter expert in the EMEA region.

• Prepare risk assessments and strategic policy recommendations for senior cross-functional leaders and executive stakeholders.

• Clearly and confidently represent the Ads Policy viewpoint.

• Exemplify Reddit’s Company Values, supporting teammates and offering guidance as a senior peer leader.

• Act as the decision-maker for complex, grey-area ads policy escalations.

• Provide clear, risk-balanced rulings on high-impact issues.

• Collaborate with colleagues and leaders across Legal, Sales, Operations, Product, Trust & Safety Policy, and other departments.

• Report to the Head of Ads Policy.

• Spearhead research and the development of extensive policies affecting Reddit's global advertising platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in compliance, standards, or policy development and implementation, with considerable experience in technology, digital platforms, advertising, Trust and Safety, or a related policy area.

• Demonstrated ability to take full, reliable ownership of intricate policy projects, conducting research, drafting, implementing, and maintaining policies independently in dynamic environments.

• Extensive subject matter expertise in advertising or content policy on an international scale.

• Proven experience collaborating with global teams and advising stakeholders across various jurisdictions.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to simplify complex policy/regulatory issues into straightforward business language.

• Exceptional skill in synthesizing complex, ambiguous problems into well-structured decision documents that clearly outline risks, trade-offs, and recommended solutions.

• Direct experience with advertising policies within a prominent tech platform (preferable).

• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools to optimize workflows and scale processes (preferable).
