Triage Nurse, RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver prompt access to high-quality, compassionate after-hours RN telephone triage services for patients and caregivers associated with hospice and home health partners.

• Demonstrate empathy and understanding in communication, particularly when callers are facing challenging situations.

• Evaluate patient needs and dispense suitable care instructions.

• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate care.

• Record patient care details in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Conduct a brief skills assessment if chosen for the position.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active RN license in a compact state.

• A minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience is required.

• Preferred experience in home health, palliative care, med-surg, geriatrics, ICU, ER, and/or hospice care, though not mandatory.

• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.

• Familiarity with computers and telecommunications equipment is necessary.

• Capability to work autonomously and within a team environment.

• Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.

• Must fulfill California RN Required Prerequisites for RN Examination and Endorsements.

• Must have accrued at least 400 work hours within the past two years.

• A stable internet connection is required; satellite broadband and mobile hotspots are prohibited.

• Access to a webcam is necessary.

• Must have Windows 11 or Mac OS 15 (Sequoia) or a later version.

• Processor: 2.5 GHz or higher.

• RAM: Minimum of 6GB.
