This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Travel to various customer locations across the United States to assist with refractory installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair tasks.
• Install and repair refractory systems in kilns, furnaces, vessels, and other types of industrial equipment.
• Execute welding, cutting, grinding, anchor installation, forming, and pouring tasks as necessary.
• Aid in gunning and shotcrete refractory applications and material trials at customer sites.
• Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and layouts to guarantee precise installation and maintenance processes.
• Perform kiln audits, ovality assessments, and 3D scans of kilns, furnaces, and vessels.
• Employ precision measuring tools, scanners, thermal imaging cameras, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Safely and effectively operate forklifts, manlifts, scissor lifts, and various other construction and maintenance machinery.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including rotary guns, jackhammers, rivet busters, and similar machinery.
• Keep accurate records of documentation, expense reports, and project details while representing RHI Magnesita professionally at customer locations.
• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial field service, refractory work, steel, or non-ferrous metals is required.
• Experience in refractory installation, bricklaying, welding, forming, pouring, shotcrete, or gunning applications within steel and industrial settings is highly preferred.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience in operating forklifts, aerial lifts, and other industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with troubleshooting capabilities.
• A valid driver's license is necessary.
• A valid international passport or the ability to acquire one is required.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• MSHA part 46b or 48 certifications or the ability to obtain them is required.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certifications or the ability to obtain them is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic reporting systems (e.g., Concur, ADP, Dayforce) is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
• Willingness and capability to travel frequently, work varied shifts, and undertake physically demanding tasks in industrial settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform tasks in confined spaces.
• Ability to present oneself professionally and cultivate strong customer relationships.
