Traveling PRS Case Worker, Bilingual Spanish and English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Perform home visits and make phone contacts to evaluate the safety and appropriateness of a child's placement with their caregiver (sponsor), while also linking the child to community services that address risk factors.

• Manage cases continuously, emphasizing screening and making suitable referrals to meet the child’s needs across various domains: placement issues, safety concerns, education, health, mental health, legal/immigration matters, substance abuse, independent living, criminal/juvenile justice, and child enrichment activities.

• Deliver crisis intervention services as required or refer families to appropriate services to ensure the safety and well-being of minors during crisis situations.

• Prepare comprehensive and precise documentation in accordance with PASO policies and procedures.

• Utilize social work best practices for comprehensive evaluations of the child's progress and the services rendered.

• Ensure consistent and timely communication with the supervisor regarding any concerns related to the child’s safety, stability, or well-being in their placement.

• Engage in ongoing supervision and perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or another social service discipline, with a focus on child and adolescent development.

• Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory.

• Minimum age of 21 years.

• At least 1 year of experience in child welfare programs.

• Familiarity with community resources and the ability to connect families with services available in the community.

• Strong clinical and crisis intervention skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient critical assessment and analytical skills.

• Capability to effectively manage time, multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work independently.

• Willingness to conduct home visits up to 70% of the time.

• Experience working with refugee or immigrant children is preferred.

• Cross-cultural or international experience is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Must successfully pass an FBI background check as well as a CA/N check for every state in which they have lived in the past five years.
