This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Oversee the execution of all Heart of Georgia Altamaha TIA 2 transportation initiatives for the years 2023–2032.
• Facilitate weekly coordination meetings with GDOT, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
• Track design and construction projects led by GDOT, identifying any risks or potential schedule impacts.
• Collaborate with local governments on transportation projects initiated at the local level.
• Create resurfacing bid packages for GDOT-led projects.
• Evaluate and authorize resurfacing bid packages from local governments.
• Review and approve invoices from consultants and local governments.
• Assist with program reporting, budget management, and project documentation.
• Act as the primary liaison among GDOT, local governments, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Promote communication and resolve any project-related issues.
• Support the implementation of transportation improvement projects throughout the region.
• Manage moderately complex projects that involve various stakeholders, agencies, and regional coordination.
• Supervise design, construction, maintenance, and resurfacing operations.
• Oversee project delivery from initiation to closeout when assigned.
• Lead and coordinate technical staff, consultants, and project support teams.
• Attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or a related field, combined with 4 years of experience in roadway construction, transportation project management, maintenance, or a related area; or a demonstrated equivalent mix of education and experience.
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.
• Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records review as a condition of employment.
• Proven experience in coordinating with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and local stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management abilities.
• Preferred experience in GDOT roadway construction, maintenance, or transportation program management.
• Background in managing transportation improvement or capital programs.
• Understanding of GDOT project development and delivery processes.
• Experience in pavement condition evaluation and pavement management systems.
• Familiarity with developing, reviewing, and managing resurfacing bid packages.
• Knowledge of transportation funding programs, including TIA initiatives.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
• Must be based in Georgia; relocation options are not available.
