Transportation Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Monitor loads to confirm timely delivery or apply the appropriate reason code for any delivery issues.

• Track daily shipments using FourKites and engage with carriers that are not updating their tracking information promptly.

• Proactively assess shipments to avert service disruptions and enhance product fill rates.

• Engage in professional communication with carriers and customers, managing challenging situations and service failures effectively.

• Oversee detention, accessorial approvals, benchmark rates, automation goals, expedited decisions, and associated costs.

• Supervise shipments from pickup through transit to delivery, making revisions and communicating updates as necessary.

• Assign and tender loads to carriers using automated or manual Standard Routing Guide processes and accept tenders.

• Inform relevant teams of product supply challenges and collaborate with ORM and Operations Planning to address them.

• Arrange appointments for shippers and receivers and update TMS, SAP, and WMS accordingly.

• Combine customer orders into full truckloads when necessary.

• Examine and rectify EDI 214 discrepancies.

• Oversee and manage customer returns.

• Ensure on-time performance and fill rates through reason-code implementation and monthly audits.

• Initiate EDI setup for newly contracted carriers and establish Carrier Portal logins.

• Conduct Carrier Portal training sessions for carrier representatives as required.

• Support the Transportation Manager with on-time performance metrics and additional reporting tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in Customer Service within a manufacturing or transportation setting.

• High School Diploma required.

• Proficient in Web-based Systems such as SAP and Microsoft Excel.

• Candidates must reside in the United States.

• Candidates should be located near St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO; Crete, NE; Davenport, IA; Clinton, IA; Allentown, PA; Mechanicsburg, PA; Atlanta, GA; Eden, NC; or Flagstaff, AZ for training purposes.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a willingness to support occasional overtime and holiday shifts.
