Transportation Broker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Meet or surpass production targets for written policies and premiums within the designated territory.

• Foster and enhance retail agency partnerships through face-to-face meetings, phone outreach, and technology-assisted engagement.

• Seek, place, and manage trucking-related insurance accounts.

• Oversee a high-volume pipeline from the initial submission to binding.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external carrier underwriters to quote accounts and transition them from submission to binding.

• Ensure precise documentation and deliver prompt, friendly service to retail agents.

• Stay informed on industry trends, carrier changes, and appetite.

• Cultivate long-term relationships with agents within the assigned territory.

• Cross-sell products and services throughout the wider organization.

• Contribute to revenue growth through additional initiatives and business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active P&C license, or the ability to secure one within 120 days.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial insurance, preferably with Trucking/Transportation or Workers' Compensation expertise.

• Demonstrated capability to manage a submission or sales pipeline efficiently and accurately, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong skills in sales, negotiation, and relationship development.

• Comfortable making cold calls and engaging in proactive business development.

• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with internal teams, carrier underwriters, and retail agency partners.

• Knowledge of evaluating and fulfilling the insurance needs of trucking and transportation businesses.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and agency management systems.

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
