Transmission Line Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create designs for overhead and underground transmission line systems utilizing PLS-CADD.

• Ensure adherence to NESC, ASCE, and ACI standards.

• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing grid capacity, integrating renewable energy, and fortifying the grid.

• Transition projects from initial routing and engineering analysis to material procurement and construction-ready documentation.

• Utilize advanced modeling techniques with PLS-TOWER, LPILE, and FAD to address site-specific challenges.

• Formulate intricate foundation designs and manage voltage conversions.

• In Senior/Lead positions, provide mentorship to junior engineers.

• In Senior/Lead positions, oversee client interactions.

• In Senior/Lead positions, guide multidisciplinary teams towards successful project outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• Relevant prior experience in designing electric utility transmission systems.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience.

• Expert or proficient knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.

• Familiarity with NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE codes.

• Capability to convert complex engineering ideas into clear project scopes and client presentations.

• EIT certification preferred.

• A collaborative team player.

• Skills in Design & Analysis.

• Experience with LPILE, FAD Tools, Mathcad, or AutoCAD is advantageous.

• Practical experience in Construction Management or Field Support is a plus.

• Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise is a bonus.
