Principal R&D/Product Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, simulate, and conduct verification-validation testing for high-speed connector and/or cable assembly products along with radio systems.

• Engage in signal integrity product and system design, involving modeling, simulation, testing, and circuit board layout.

• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and operations teams to implement innovative product designs.

• Act as the signal integrity subject matter expert from initial analysis through prototype fabrication, assessment, and production verification testing.

• Define signal integrity design performance and functional specifications for new products.

• Conduct signal integrity simulations for various high-speed standards, selecting suitable methodologies and criteria.

• Review PCB schematics and layouts thoroughly.

• Develop actionable recommendations based on design reviews and simulation outcomes.

• Advise on connector design and component qualifications from the perspective of signal integrity.

• Make informed decisions regarding product functionality and areas for improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in electrical design, RF design, or PCB design.

• Proficient in signal integrity analysis tools such as Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST, or similar software.

• Strong grasp of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior.

• Excellent analytical skills to interpret simulation and laboratory data, identify problems, and propose solutions.

• Knowledgeable in printed circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly processes.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Capable of working in a global environment, accommodating different time zones, and collaborating across regions.

• Highly driven, a fast learner, and capable of working autonomously.
