Translator – Learning Designer, Localization Project, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Review and enhance AI-pretranslated German content in Smartcat to ensure accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, and natural expression.

• Consistently apply approved terminology across skills, decisions, products, and specialized terms.

• Naturally adapt buyer-as-hero and "you" language for German audiences.

• Rebuild finalized translations into existing PowerPoint presentations and Articulate Rise modules.

• Test and repair animations, transitions, triggers, timing, and build sequences.

• Address layout issues resulting from German text expansion and lengthy compound nouns.

• Execute minor image and screenshot text edits within PowerPoint.

• Provide assets in a completely presentation-ready format.

• Collaborate with the internal team and other contractors.

• Work independently toward milestones and engage in 1–2 weekly check-ins.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level German proficiency with outstanding professional/B2B writing abilities.

• Strong English reading comprehension and collaboration skills.

• Demonstrated experience in business, sales enablement, corporate training, or professional localization.

• Comfortable working with terminology glossaries and style guides.

• Proficient in PowerPoint, including the Animation Pane and animation troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Articulate Rise or similar authoring tools.

• Strong understanding of German text expansion and compound nouns in fixed layouts.

• Reliable availability during Eastern Time (GMT-4) / Central European business hours.

• Experience in localization QA for animated/interactive presentations is a plus.

• Background in B2B sales enablement is a plus.
