Translator – Learning Designer, Localization Project – Chinese, Simplified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Review and enhance AI-pretranslated content in Smartcat for precision, fluency, grammar, tone, and natural expression in Chinese.

• Consistently apply approved terminology across skills, decisions, products, and specialized language.

• Maintain a conversational, evidence-based, and commercially astute voice.

• Naturally adapt buyer-as-hero and “you” language for Chinese audiences.

• Reconstruct finalized translations within existing PowerPoint presentations and Articulate Rise modules.

• Test and rectify animations, transitions, triggers, timing, and sequencing.

• Address localized layout issues, such as overflow, line breaks, and truncated content.

• Execute minor edits on images and screenshot text within PowerPoint.

• Ensure assets are delivered in a fully presentation-ready format.

• Collaborate with the internal team and other contractors.

• Work independently towards milestones while participating in 1–2 weekly check-ins.

⛳️ Requirements

• Business- or native-level proficiency in Chinese with exceptional professional/B2B writing capabilities.

• Strong English reading comprehension and collaboration skills.

• Demonstrated experience in business, sales enablement, corporate learning, or professional localization.

• Proficient in working with terminology glossaries and style guides.

• Advanced PowerPoint skills, including the Animation Pane and animation troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Articulate Rise or similar authoring platforms.

• Excellent attention to layout, typography, and visual presentation.

• Availability that aligns with Eastern Time (GMT-4) / Central European business hours.

• Experience in localization QA with animated or interactive presentations is a plus.

• B2B sales enablement experience is a plus.
