Translator, Interpreter – English/Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Provide oral interpretation and translation services for students and families whose primary language is not English during evaluations and at other times as designated.

• Deliver real-time interpretation during early intervention and CPSE assessments.

• Accurately translate spoken language between English and the target language, ensuring the original meaning, tone, and intent are preserved.

• Translate written materials, including summaries of reports and other documents, upon request.

• Comply with confidentiality obligations and uphold professional ethics related to interpreting in EI and CPSE environments.

• Maintain a neutral and unbiased position during interpreting assignments.

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and the target language(s).

• Strong grasp of medical and educational terminology pertinent to early intervention and the CPSE program.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to establish rapport with children, families, and professionals from various backgrounds.

• A qualifying criminal background check, driving record, and possession of a valid driver’s license are mandatory.

• Must be able to provide an up-to-date copy of all required health records.
