Translator and Editor, Serbian to/from English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Translate documents from Serbian to English and vice versa.

• Review and edit translated content to ensure accuracy, proper grammar, formatting, and consistency.

• Handle translations and edits of official paperwork, including vital records, legal contracts, official certificates, and academic transcripts.

• Uphold confidentiality at all times.

• Adhere to specific client instructions and formatting guidelines.

• Meet established deadlines, including tight turnaround times of one to two days when necessary.

• Complete tasks on an as-needed basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and current residency within the United States.

• Willingness to undergo a Tier 1 background check, which includes fingerprinting.

• Native or highly proficient in both Serbian and English languages.

• A minimum of two to five years of demonstrated experience as a translator and/or editor.

• Strong attention to detail is essential.

• Excellent skills in formatting documents.

• Ability to produce work that is ready for client presentation.

• Dependable, deadline-focused, and highly productive.

• Capacity to work independently.

• Strong communication abilities and a professional, collaborative demeanor.

• Access to the latest Windows software.

• Proficiency in handling standard document formats.

• Capability to provide per-word pricing for translation and editing services.

• Openness to accepting assignments on an as-needed basis.

• A Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, language studies, or a related field is preferred.
