Translator and Editor, Greek to/from English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately translate texts from Greek to English and vice versa.

• Review and edit translated documents to ensure precision, proper grammar, formatting, and uniformity.

• Translate and modify official materials, including vital records, legal documents, certificates, and academic transcripts.

• Uphold confidentiality standards.

• Adhere to specific client instructions and formatting guidelines.

• Meet designated deadlines, including rapid turnaround times of one to two days when necessary.

• Engage in assignments as they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must be U.S. citizens who are prepared to undergo a Tier 1 background check, including fingerprinting.

• Must currently reside in the United States.

• Fluency in both Greek and English is essential, with native or near-native proficiency preferred.

• A minimum of two to five years of demonstrated experience in translation and/or editing.

• Exceptional attention to detail is required.

• Strong skills in document formatting.

• Capability to deliver work that meets client standards.

• Dependable and focused on meeting deadlines.

• Highly efficient and comfortable working autonomously.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• A collaborative and professional demeanor is expected.

• Access to current Windows software is necessary.

• Proficiency in working with standard document formats.

• Ability to provide per-word rates for translation and editing services.

• Openness to taking on assignments as needed.

• A Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, language studies, or a related field is preferred.
