Transit Safety Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee project tasks for both internal and external clients throughout the United States

• Implement FTA risk management processes and adhere to APTA industry standards

• Create PHAs/TVAs along with relevant mitigations and countermeasures

• Conduct workshops with diverse groups and committees

• Generate CELs/CILs

• Produce DCCCs/CSCCs

• Engage directly with agency clients and project managers

• Prepare SSC documentation and reports

• Formulate, assess, and revise PTASPs on an annual basis

• Carry out SSC peer reviews

• Provide SSC training to both internal and external clients

• Offer direction and support to multidisciplinary colleagues and junior staff

• Complete tasks with minimal oversight from senior management

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and/or education

• Ability to successfully pass an MVR check

• Public Transportation Safety Certification (PTSCTP and/or TSSP) is preferred

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred

• FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification is preferred

• Competent in CPTED Design Standards

• Competent in ADA Design Standards and project delivery compliance

• Competent in NFPA 130 Design Standards

• Demonstrated proficiency in the FTA Safety & Security Certification Process

• Demonstrated proficiency in APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards

• Demonstrated proficiency in PTASP Development and Annual Review Process

• Demonstrated proficiency in Safety & Security Certification Documentation

• Demonstrated proficiency in Safety & Security Design Review

• Demonstrated proficiency in Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments

• Proven experience leading project tasks involving PTSCTP/TSSP, State Safety Oversight, and U.S. domestic Cybersecurity and safety/security systems

• Must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office
