Transit Safety Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead project initiatives for both internal and external clients throughout the United States

• Implement risk management processes developed by the FTA alongside APTA industry standards

• Provide leadership and support to multidisciplinary teams and junior staff members

• Create PHAs/TVAs along with relevant mitigations and countermeasures

• Organize workshops with multidisciplinary teams and committees

• Generate CELs/CILs

• Develop DCCCs/CSCCs

• Engage directly with agency clients and project managers

• Compile SSC documents and reports

• Formulate, annually review, and revise PTASPs

• Conduct SSC peer evaluations

• Provide SSC training for both internal and external clients

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a proven equivalent in experience and/or education

• Capability to pass an MVR check

• Experience with Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Programs (PTSCTP, TSSP)

• Background in State Safety Oversight (SSO)

• Proven success in U.S. domestic Cybersecurity and safety/security

• Public Transportation Safety Certification (PTSCTP and/or TSSP) is preferred

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred

• FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification is preferred

• Proficient in CPTED Design Standards

• Proficient in ADA Design Standards with compliance in project delivery

• Proficient in NFPA 130 Design Standards related project deliveries

• Expertise in the FTA Safety & Security Certification Process

• Knowledge of APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards

• Proficient in PTASP Development and Annual Review Process

• Proficient in Safety & Security Certification Documentation

• Proficient in Safety & Security Design Review for project deliveries

• Proficient in conducting Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments for project deliveries
