Transformation & Advisory Director – Operating Model

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee Kainos’ advisory services related to operating models for People, Finance, and Planning.

• Provide strategic guidance to C-suite executives and functional leaders on target operating models, service delivery, and organizational design.

• Achieve executive consensus on challenging design decisions.

• Drive process harmonization and standardization across various countries, business units, and acquisitions.

• Establish global process standards and design principles that align with Workday best practices.

• Convert strategies into service catalogs, define roles and responsibilities, governance structures, shared services, and center-of-excellence models, as well as data and controls.

• Initiate and manage operating model and process advisory projects, including Phase 0 / Pathfinder assessments and proposals.

• Expand the Transformation & Advisory pipeline.

• Develop and lead the operating model specialization, which encompasses methodologies, reference models, accelerators, thought leadership, and a high-performing team.

• Collaborate closely with Workday solution architects and delivery leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in consultancy or industry focusing on operating model/shared services transformation.

• Significant tenure at a Director level or equivalent.

• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing target operating models for HR, Finance, or Payroll functions.

• Proven history of leading global process harmonization or standardization within an ERP Cloud program.

• Ability to challenge and influence C-suite and senior functional leaders effectively.

• Strong commercial acumen and business development expertise.

• Exceptional structured problem-solving, facilitation, and communication abilities.

• Knowledge of Workday HCM, Financials, or Planning is desirable; certification is a plus.

• Experience in shared services/GBS design or M&A integration is advantageous.

• Familiarity with process methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, APQC) or qualifications in organization design is preferred.

• Background in Big 4 or tier-1 consultancy is a plus.
