Training Instructor II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collect business requirements for current data warehouse processes and applications in operation by conducting interviews with technical experts and subject matter experts (SMEs).

• Arrange and facilitate walkthroughs and business reviews to confirm requirements.

• Identify, verify, and document the usage of metadata and data lineage.

• Create business process flow maps utilizing Visio and suggest suitable solutions based on research.

• Use discretion in mentoring and advising less experienced team members regarding their assigned applications.

• Deliver exceptional service to all customers, ensuring that their needs are met in an effective and efficient manner.

• Apply business acumen and principles alongside technical knowledge of applications.

• Perform root cause analysis to pinpoint issues and document findings to promote defect resolution.

• Support the Training Lead in creating and presenting engaging and accessible training programs and materials for federal IT systems and applications.

• Engage in ongoing training sessions and offer feedback for program enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in this or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in a similar position, emphasizing data warehouse processes and the gathering of business requirements.

• Strong understanding of business principles and knowledge.

• Proficient in Visio for process mapping tasks.

• Excellent communication abilities, capable of articulating complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and offer guidance to less experienced colleagues.

• Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.

• Experience with managing metadata and documenting data lineage.

• Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies.

• Experience in developing and delivering training programs for federal clients, preferably for CMS.

• Background in Medicare and/or Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse or program integrity work.
