Middle LiDAR Processing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Process, classify, and validate aerial LiDAR and point cloud data.

• Analyze extensive spatial and 3D datasets for utility and power infrastructure projects.

• Extract and model utility assets such as power lines, conductors, poles, towers, vegetation, and ground features.

• Identify and resolve data-quality issues through QA/QC activities.

• Collaborate on infrastructure and utility projects as part of Intetics Inc.'s GIS and LiDAR team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience in LiDAR or point cloud processing.

• Practical experience in point cloud classification and QA/QC.

• Familiarity with 3D spatial data.

• Experience in feature extraction from LiDAR data.

• Strong attention to detail and capability to identify data-quality issues.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of GIS.

• Experience with utility, power transmission, or distribution data (Nice to Have).

• Experience with aerial LiDAR (Nice to Have).

• Experience working with conductors, poles/towers, vegetation, and ground classes (Nice to Have).

• Understanding of conductor/catenary modeling and clearance analysis (Nice to Have).

• Familiarity with PLS-CADD, TerraSolid/TerraScan, or MicroStation (Nice to Have).

• Experience in utility asset modeling or powerline mapping (Nice to Have).
