This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee and enhance vulnerability management initiatives across enterprise environments, ensuring vulnerabilities are effectively addressed and resolved.
• Prioritize, monitor, and report on security vulnerabilities utilizing Microsoft Defender, Tenable, or comparable tools.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, service delivery, and customer teams to formulate remediation strategies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members while managing workloads and outcomes.
• Create and enhance vulnerability management processes, reporting mechanisms, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Track remediation performance, analyze trends, and offer actionable recommendations for risk reduction.
• Generate executive and client-facing reports detailing risk exposure, remediation progress, and compliance status.
• Foster continuous improvement through automation, operational efficiencies, and the adoption of best-practice security processes.
• Proven experience in vulnerability management, cyber security operations, or infrastructure engineering with a history of driving remediation outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring technical teams, driving accountability, performance, and continuous enhancement.
• Comprehensive understanding of ASD Essential Eight requirements, vulnerability remediation, and patch management practices.
• Practical experience with vulnerability management platforms such as Microsoft Defender, Tenable, or similar, encompassing vulnerability assessment, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Strong grasp of infrastructure, operating systems, applications, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in risk assessment, validating remediation efforts, and offering practical security recommendations.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ASD Essential Eight, ISM, CIS Controls, NIST CSF, or ISO 27001.
• Relevant certifications like Security+, CISSP, SSCP, Microsoft Security, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent experience are highly valued.
• Capability to excel in a fast-paced managed services environment with a strong emphasis on customer outcomes.
• Proactive and accountable mindset with a proven track record of following through and achieving results.
• Must obtain NV1 Australian Security clearance; eligibility is required before applying.
• Valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check are mandatory.
