Freelance Subtitling Linguist – Zulu

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Transcribe and/or translate Zulu into English or proofread/QC subtitle files utilizing Pixelogic's proprietary cloud-based subtitling software.

• Utilize the in-house glossary tool to ensure consistency across products while adhering to client style guide specifications.

• Address rejections and implement corrections in files.

• Stay updated with industry trends and adjust to shifting client requirements.

• Uphold the confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Collaborate effectively as part of a team that manages changing priorities and workloads.

• Quickly adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual in Zulu and English.

• Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.

• A minimum of 1 year of translation and/or proofreading experience is required.

• Experience in subtitling is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Must demonstrate the ability to meet rigorous schedules (on-time delivery and flexible working hours).

• Capability to follow technical/style guides for various client content types.
