Threat Intelligence Specialist – APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Analyze data and information to uncover established relationships.

• Conduct research and document the tactics used by threat actors, including counterfeit law enforcement personas and agencies, compromised legitimate agent accounts and credentials, and the misuse of trusted access for fraudulent activities.

• Initiate communication with international government agencies across various time zones through calls and emails.

• Build and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and personnel globally.

• Encourage cross-departmental collaboration and optimize workflows.

• Respond swiftly and effectively to user requirements.

• Remain updated on industry and market developments.

• Provide essential coverage during APAC hours and assist with urgent investigations when other regional teams are unavailable.

• Contribute to the protection of clients and their end-users by enhancing platform security.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical experience in threat intelligence, identity fraud investigation, or a similar analytical field.

• Proven expertise in pivot-based OSINT, including passive DNS, ASN attribution, WHOIS/RDAP, certificate transparency, and email infrastructure analysis.

• Proficient in English.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to function effectively across different time zones.

• Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.

• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with various management levels.

• Direct experience with account takeovers, synthetic identity fraud, data theft/extortion, spear phishing and targeted intrusions, underground cybercrime environments, and organizational impersonation.

• Knowledgeable in network- and host-based security measures.

• Experience in designing, utilizing, and instructing others on proprietary and open-source tools such as Shodan, Censys, VirusTotal, and APIs.

• Proficient in the operational use of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Background in law enforcement or the legal process ecosystem.

• Experience in FinTech, cryptocurrency, or identity verification platforms.

• Fluency in Hindi or Thai is an advantage.
