This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee cybersecurity solutions, such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, network, FW/IPS, DLP, and cloud tools, to identify suspicious activities.

• Create and uphold 24/7 SOC Tier 1 and Tier 2 cybersecurity standard operating procedures (SOPs) and playbooks.

• Administer and supervise threat detection and response tools, including malware analysis, email analysis, application analysis, network analysis, domain intelligence, threat IOCs and feeds, forensic analysis, and sandbox tools.

• Manage and enhance threat intelligence key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting functionalities.

• Adhere to the digital forensic program and processes as instructed.

• Implement the IT incident response plan as directed.

• Support penetration testing and annual managed service evaluations.

• Provide mentorship to junior cyber threat analysts.

• Collaborate closely with Security Engineering, IT Architecture, Risk, and Legal teams.

• Report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer at Ascensus.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Information Security.

• Strong understanding of the cyber threat landscape.

• Intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, email security, endpoint security, network security, Windows/Linux/macOS systems, cyber threat hunting, malware analysis tools and techniques, cyber threat intelligence, common threat actor TTPs, application security concepts, cloud security fundamentals, and Incident Response methodologies.

• Familiarity with NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, CIS CSCs, MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and associated frameworks, standards, and best practices.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to communicate effectively across all levels of Ascensus, including with auditors and business partners.

• For remote virtual roles, a reliable workspace during business hours and an internet speed of 25 Mbps or higher is required.
