This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee and direct business development initiatives in primary customer accounts throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
• Foster relationships with current customers and enhance the visibility and utilization of AbbVie Vision Care products.
• Manage sales activities at both customer and hospital levels in alignment with approved marketing strategies and company policies.
• Achieve or surpass sales objectives for the designated territory.
• Serve as the customer expert and steward of AbbVie’s commercial relationships with External Experts.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer relationships and collaborate across departments to optimize sales outcomes.
• Ensure that internal team members comprehend and implement customer strategies and sales expectations.
• Discover mutually beneficial opportunities and jointly develop solutions within Key Accounts.
• Identify obstacles to effective customer interactions and create processes to address them.
• Advocate for customer needs within AbbVie by recognizing issues, concerns, and priorities.
• Build extensive relationships within Key Account organizations to comprehend their priorities, structure, and business environment.
• Establish trusting partnerships with Key Accounts and expand market share in Glaucoma and Dry Eye Disease.
• Formulate account-specific strategies in accordance with AbbVie guidelines and values.
• Collaborate with AbbVie’s Medical and Clinical Specialist teams to enhance product knowledge and business training.
• Create strategic business plans aimed at increasing market share.
• Conduct regular sales reviews, both internally and externally.
• Implement national marketing initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and growth, including new Key Accounts.
• Oversee territory budget and resource distribution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, or a related field, or an MBA, along with a combination of experience and education is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing and/or head office operations.
• Experience in Key Account Management is highly valued.
• Background in Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales is mandatory.
• Comprehensive understanding of the institutional/Key Account healthcare sector is preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding business objectives.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
• Solid business acumen and an initiative-driven attitude.
• Leadership qualities, along with strong listening and adaptability skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Capacity to communicate across various functions within the organization.
• Ability to engage with senior leaders among customers and within the company.
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
• Highly collaborative with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Availability for evening/weekend work, including overnight travel.
• Valid driver’s license and passport required.
• Strategic thinker capable of supporting the development of a high-quality territory plan.
• Sound business judgment with an executive leadership perspective.
