This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee and spearhead business development efforts within key customer accounts across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
• Represent AbbVie to designated Key Accounts while fostering long-term customer relationships in the Glaucoma and Dry Eye Disease portfolios.
• Enhance existing customer engagements and promote awareness and utilization of AbbVie Vision Care products.
• Administer sales at both the customer and hospital levels in alignment with approved marketing strategies and company policies.
• Meet or surpass sales objectives for the designated territory.
• Serve as the customer expert and manager of AbbVie’s commercial relationships with External Experts.
• Maintain a comprehensive view of customer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize sales outcomes.
• Ensure that internal team members comprehend and implement customer strategies and sales expectations.
• Recognize mutually beneficial opportunities and co-create solutions within Key Accounts.
• Identify obstacles to customer interactions and ensure that appropriate internal processes are in place to address them.
• Advocate for customer interests within AbbVie by pinpointing issues, concerns, and priorities.
• Establish extensive and deep engagements within Key Account organizations.
• Formulate account-specific strategies in line with AbbVie’s guidelines and values.
• Collaborate with the AbbVie Medical team and AbbVie Institute’s Clinical Specialist to enhance product knowledge and business training.
• Create strategic business plans aimed at increasing market share in the glaucoma and dry eye product portfolios.
• Conduct regular reviews of territory performance, both internally and externally.
• Implement national marketing initiatives in conjunction with cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and growth, as well as new Key Accounts.
• Oversee territory budget and resource allocation.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Science, or a related field, or an MBA combined with relevant experience and education is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in Sales and/or marketing or head office operations is necessary.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales is essential.
• Key Account Management experience is highly regarded.
• A comprehensive understanding of the institutional/Key Account healthcare sector is preferred.
• Proven history of achieving and/or exceeding business results.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent business acumen and a self-motivated attitude.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities along with effective listening and adaptability skills.
• Superior presentation and communication skills.
• Established capability to communicate effectively across functions within the organization.
• Proficient in engaging with senior leaders both externally and internally.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
• Highly collaborative with a focus on customer-centric approaches.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Role may require evening/weekend work, including overnight travel.
• Valid driver's license and passport are necessary.
• Ability to think strategically to support the creation of a high-quality territory plan.
• Exhibit sound business judgment and evaluate local market conditions to set direction.
• Capability to predict potential outcomes from both customer and competitive viewpoints.
• In-depth analytical skills to evaluate business outcomes during the decision-making process and achieve strategic objectives.
