This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Become a part of AbbVie Canada's Gynecology & Gastroenterology (Motility) commercial sales team.
• Operate from the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, covering both British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
• Engage with gynecologists who specialize in treating endometriosis and uterine fibroids.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists addressing CIC, functional constipation, and IBS-C.
• Formulate and implement business/account plans along with brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct evaluations following sales calls.
• Address objections and finalize sales interactions, whether in person or virtually.
• Assist in fulfilling stakeholder needs while cultivating trusted relationships with customers.
• Execute call strategies and maximize engagement with key customers.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of customers, territorial landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise.
• Provide market insights to the district manager and team members.
• Distinguish AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix team that includes medical, market access, government affairs, health education, marketing, trade relations, patient engagement, and AbbVie Care teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, or a related field.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in a Specialty Sales position within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Experience in gynecology is preferred.
• Gastroenterology experience is considered an advantage.
• Established connections with existing healthcare provider targets are beneficial.
• Preference for experience in physician/account-based selling, CHE / OLA / training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Demonstrated success in sales with strong presentation skills, both face-to-face and virtually.
• Familiarity with IntelAgree, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is a plus.
• Excellent ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business sense along with strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Competence in virtual platforms such as Zoom, Veeva Engage/CLM, and Microsoft Teams.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends occasionally, including overnight travel.
• Anticipated travel within the territory of 50%.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
• Ability to think strategically and develop a comprehensive territory plan.
