Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop test plans, cases, and scripts based on user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Create and manage automated test suites utilizing Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Postman within CI/CD environments.

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and Section 508 testing.

• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Keep the requirements traceability matrix up to date.

• Document defects using VA tools.

• Provide test results and coverage reports for evaluating release readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Mid-level: 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years focused on automation.

• Journeyman level: 2+ years of experience in software testing.

• Proficiency in developing test plans, cases, and scripts derived from user stories.

• Familiarity with defect management processes.

• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman in CI/CD workflows.

• Background in maintaining a requirements traceability matrix using Jira Xray or VA Quality Manager.

• Knowledge of Section 508 testing and support for UAT.

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Must be eligible to acquire a VA PIV credential.

• ISTQB Agile Tester and Section 508 Trusted Tester certifications are preferred.
