Senior QA Engineer – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance automated testing strategies and frameworks on an ongoing basis.

• Develop and assess automated tests for intricate product functionalities.

• Enhance the reliability of tests, reduce feedback time, improve reporting, and optimize CI execution.

• Investigate persistent testing and environmental challenges, coordinating their resolution.

• Facilitate automation code reviews and promote elevated quality standards within the team.

• Collaborate with engineers and other teams to enhance testability and streamline delivery processes.

• Identify viable opportunities to integrate AI into testing workflows, validate outcomes, and disseminate effective practices.

• Contribute to the SOFTSWISS Casino Platform, which assists online casino operators with account management, game operations, responsible gaming, and adherence to regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in test automation, including extensive hands-on experience with Java, as well as UI and API testing.

• Proven experience in designing, constructing, and refining test automation frameworks.

• Strong understanding of Java, object-oriented programming, design principles, and programming patterns.

• Practical experience with GitLab CI, Docker, and PostgreSQL.

• Experience in testing distributed systems and analyzing complex failures across services.

• Ability to evaluate automation architecture and make informed decisions regarding test coverage, reliability, and maintenance.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools in testing or development workflows and the capability to assess their outputs.

• Proficiency in English at an Intermediate level or higher.

• Proficiency in Russian at an Upper-intermediate level or higher.

• Nice to have: Experience with Selenide, REST Assured, or similar Java testing tools.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Allure or ReportPortal.

• Nice to have: Experience testing systems utilizing Kafka, Redis, or WebSockets.

• Nice to have: Understanding of AOP or the Java Reflection API.

• Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes or enhancing CI/CD pipelines.

• Nice to have: Experience mentoring engineers or establishing automation practices within a team.
