Test Analyst, QA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the strategy for product testing.

• Engage in story refinement sessions alongside the Product Owner and the development team.

• Examine requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria while proactively identifying quality scenarios, risks, and gaps.

• Create test plans, scenarios, cases, and supporting evidence.

• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Validate complete journeys that involve mobile applications, APIs, backend systems, and various integrations.

• Test native iOS and Android applications across multiple operating system versions and devices.

• Confirm features related to group creation, participant addition, expense entry, value splitting/allocation, balances, and other product journeys.

• Validate business rules.

• Test APIs and backend services.

• Verify API contracts, payloads, response codes, exception handling, and business rules.

• Establish and maintain automated tests for key product journeys.

• Assist in the integration of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Identify, document, track, and assist in defect analysis.

• Collaborate closely with developers to determine the root causes of issues.

• Facilitate performance, security, resilience, and availability testing.

• Monitor quality metrics and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the development process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Test Analyst, QA Engineer, or in a similar role.

• Proficient in testing mobile applications.

• Familiarity with API testing.

• Understanding of software testing strategies and methodologies.

• Experience with test automation.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

• Background in defect management.

• Familiarity with Git.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to analyze logs for issue identification.

• Knowledge of databases and SQL queries for data validation.

• Preferred: experience with high-scale financial products.

• Preferred: experience with Super Apps.

• Preferred: experience with Server-Driven UI.

• Preferred: knowledge of AWS.

• Preferred: experience with Kubernetes.

• Preferred: familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter or K6.

• Preferred: knowledge of DevSecOps practices and Quality Engineering.
