Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the strategy and implementation of testing for the API governance and integrations platform.

• Champion quality assurance from both product development and platform engineering perspectives.

• Test and validate API Gateway connections, routing rules, rate limits, and security policies for integrated APIs.

• Enforce and verify API governance procedures and compliance with MSI ecosystem standards prior to deployment.

• Design, develop, and sustain automated testing scripts for backend services and UI components, including the API Hub.

• Conduct thorough manual exploratory testing for intricate integrations.

• Manage daily sprint validations alongside Product Owners and Developers.

• Establish clear acceptance criteria and ensure the smooth delivery of features.

• Maintain and review developer portals, API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), QA runbooks, and user documentation.

• Integrate automated testing suites into CI/CD pipelines, primarily utilizing GitHub Actions, to prevent non-compliant code from reaching production.

• Mentor mid-level engineers and cross-functional teams on software quality and testing best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in English communication on a daily basis (advanced level).

• Over 5 years of experience in professional software testing, covering both manual and automated approaches.

• Extensive knowledge in testing RESTful web services, API architectures, and system integrations.

• Proven experience with API Gateways (preferably Azure APIM) and validating governance policies.

• Strong grasp of Agile Software Development methodologies and active involvement in sprint ceremonies.

• Ability to obtain background clearance as mandated by government clients.

• Experience in developing automation frameworks using tools such as Robot Framework, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

• Familiarity with Cloud technologies (Azure preferred) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Understanding of Git and CI/CD concepts (GitHub Actions).

• Previous experience working within a platform team environment.
