This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop and nurture current accounts while creating new ones to enhance sales growth.
• Deliver precise sales forecasts and perform competitive analyses.
• Evaluate market segments to uncover opportunities for expansion and advancement.
• Organize daily sales activities utilizing CRM and a systematic call frequency framework.
• Execute sales promotions, conduct educational meetings, and initiate lead generation efforts.
• Tailor sales presentations to boost customers’ annual sales figures.
• Suggest pricing modifications within established parameters based on market trends and competitive assessments.
• Resolve customer complaints, investigate issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Keep comprehensive sales documentation, including customer profiles and territory/account sales records.
• Travel daily within the designated territory, with possible overnight trips during the week.
• Oversee the territory stretching from Charlottesville north along Route 29 to Northern Virginia/Manassas and into Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated direct sales experience, ideally in the building products sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the building products industry.
• Experience in sales management within dealer, distribution, and/or two-step channel segments.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• General awareness of major competitive brands in the industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong time management skills and the capability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork abilities, coupled with a high level of integrity and self-motivation.
• Willingness to adapt to new methodologies and approaches.
• Resilience in the face of challenges and setbacks.
• Openness to new processes, technologies, and perspectives.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues towards shared objectives.
• Daily travel within the territory, with possible overnight stays during the week.
