This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Expand and nurture current accounts while establishing new ones to foster sales growth.
• Provide precise sales forecasts and perform competitive analyses.
• Examine market segments to pinpoint opportunities for growth and development.
• Strategically organize daily activities using a CRM and a structured call frequency system.
• Execute sales promotions, conduct educational meetings, and engage in lead generation activities.
• Tailor sales presentations to enhance customers’ annual sales performance.
• Suggest pricing modifications within established guidelines based on market trends and competitive assessments.
• Address customer complaints, investigate issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Keep comprehensive sales records, including customer profiles and territory/account sales records.
• Oversee the Charlottesville territory extending north on Route 29 to Northern Virginia/Manassas and into Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated direct sales experience, ideally in the building products sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of the building products industry.
• Experience in sales management within dealer, distribution, and/or two-step channel segments.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.
• General knowledge of major competitive brands within the industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent time management skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities, demonstrating a high level of integrity and personal motivation.
• Adaptability and openness to new methods of working.
• Ability to adjust to new processes, technologies, and ways of thinking.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and share valuable insights.
• Willingness to travel daily within the territory, with potential overnight travel during the week.
