This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Grow and nurture existing accounts while creating new ones to enhance sales performance.
• Deliver precise sales forecasts and perform competitive assessments.
• Examine market segments to uncover growth and development opportunities.
• Strategically organize daily tasks utilizing CRM and a systematic call frequency approach.
• Execute sales promotions, educational sessions, and lead generation initiatives.
• Tailor sales presentations to boost customers’ annual sales figures.
• Suggest pricing adjustments within set parameters based on market trends and competitive evaluations.
• Resolve customer complaints, investigate issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Keep comprehensive sales records, including customer profiles and territory/account sales data.
• Travel daily within the designated territory, covering Charlottesville north on Route 29 to Northern Virginia/Manassas and extending into Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Over 3 years of demonstrated direct sales experience, ideally in the building products sector.
• In-depth knowledge of the building products industry along with sales management experience in dealer, distribution, and/or two-step channel segments.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• General awareness of major competitive brands within the industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong time management skills with the capability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
• Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork abilities combined with a high level of integrity and self-motivation.
• Capacity to adapt to new processes, technologies, and ways of thinking.
• Resilience in overcoming setbacks, maintaining focus, and sustaining productivity during challenges.
• Willingness to embrace new processes, technologies, and perspectives.
• Ability to collaborate with team members and work collectively towards shared objectives.
• Must be able to travel daily within the territory, with the potential for overnight travel during the week.
