This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Enhance and nurture current accounts while creating new ones to promote sales growth.
• Deliver precise sales forecasts and perform competitive analysis.
• Examine market segments to pinpoint growth and development opportunities.
• Strategically organize daily tasks utilizing CRM and a structured call frequency system.
• Execute sales promotions, educational meetings, and lead generation initiatives.
• Tailor sales presentations to boost customers’ annual sales.
• Suggest pricing adjustments within established guidelines based on market dynamics and competitive assessments.
• Resolve customer complaints, investigate issues, and propose solutions.
• Keep comprehensive sales records, including customer profiles and territory/account sales documentation.
• Oversee the territory that spans from Charlottesville north along Route 29 to Northern Virginia/Manassas and into Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated direct sales experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the building products industry.
• Experience in sales management within dealer, distribution, and/or two-step channel segments.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• General understanding of major competitive brands in the industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Effective time management skills with the capability to prioritize multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, along with a high level of integrity and personal motivation.
• Capacity to adapt to new processes, technologies, and perspectives.
• Ability to maintain productivity amidst challenges.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share insights.
• Capability to travel daily within the territory, with potential overnight travel during the week.
