This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist a prominent global banking client with regulatory remediation and issue validation projects.
• Assess technology controls that support Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crimes initiatives.
• Confirm the effectiveness of remediation efforts and evaluate adherence to regulatory standards.
• Review the design and operational efficiency of IT controls related to transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and KYC/CDD platforms.
• Conduct issue validation and remediation testing.
• Implement risk-based audit methodologies, encompassing controls testing and focused substantive testing.
• Analyze IT general controls, change management protocols, security measures, operational workflows, and data governance.
• Carry out model validation and control assessments, including governance, methodologies, assumptions, and documentation review.
• Examine technical documentation, system configurations, data flows, reports, and application controls.
• Detect control deficiencies, evaluate underlying causes, and offer actionable recommendations.
• Prepare audit documentation for internal audits, regulatory assessments, and stakeholder evaluations.
• Over 5 years of experience in IT Audit, Technology Risk, Internal Audit, or a similar area within banking or financial services.
• Proven experience in conducting controls testing, targeted substantive testing, issue validation, or regulatory remediation assessments.
• Understanding of AML and Financial Crimes processes, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence.
• Experience in assessing IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, security measures, and change management protocols.
• Background in model validation, model governance, or assessing control effectiveness.
• Competency in reviewing and interpreting technical documentation, system architecture, data flows, system settings, and code.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, written communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
