This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assist in daily Compliance and Financial Crime operations involving customer, recipient, and transaction assessments.
• Perform customer and transaction due diligence in accordance with Send’s compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate customer data, supporting documents, and source of funds information.
• Execute sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screenings while investigating potential matches.
• Aid in Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) and reviews of higher-risk customers and transactions.
• Analyze transaction monitoring alerts and conduct preliminary investigations into any unusual activities.
• Collect and analyze customer, transaction, and contextual data for financial crime inquiries.
• Record findings and escalate any unusual, suspicious, or higher-risk issues.
• Assist in reporting suspicious matters and other regulatory compliance activities.
• Support ongoing and periodic customer due diligence and monitoring efforts.
• Maintain records, registers, and documentation related to Compliance and Financial Crime.
• Manage operational queues, ensuring reviews and investigations progress within expected timelines.
• Identify recurring issues, unusual trends, and potential control weaknesses, and escalate appropriately.
• Assist in the reporting of Compliance and Financial Crime activities and management information.
• Support the testing and implementation of enhancements to compliance processes, controls, and systems.
• Collaborate with various teams across the organization to gather information, resolve inquiries, and facilitate timely compliance outcomes.
• Report directly to the Senior Financial Crime Risk Analyst.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in compliance, AML/CTF, KYC, transaction monitoring, fraud, financial crime, banking operations, or a similar financial services setting.
• Basic understanding of AML/CTF, customer due diligence, and financial crime risk principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify issues that warrant investigation or escalation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written communication skills for documenting findings, decisions, and reasoning.
• Capacity to adhere to frameworks and procedures while recognizing when escalation or additional judgment is necessary.
• Proficient in managing multiple tasks and priorities within operational deadlines.
• Comfortable navigating various systems and information sources.
• Self-motivated with curiosity, a sense of ownership, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative approach.
• Experience in payments, foreign exchange, remittances, banking, or fintech is advantageous.
• Background in transaction monitoring, financial crime investigations, ECDD, or suspicious matter reporting is a plus.
• Familiarity with AML/CTF regulatory requirements and financial crime controls is desirable.
• Experience using customer screening, transaction monitoring, or compliance platforms is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced fintech or scaling environment is a plus.
