This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care through scheduled virtual consultations.
β’ Perform thorough initial nursing assessments for patients seeking HIV prevention services, including gathering medical histories, conducting risk assessments, and executing psychosocial evaluations.
β’ Inform patients about the prevention of sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections, focusing on HIV prevention, risk reduction strategies, and behavioral counseling.
β’ Assist patients in understanding their care options, addressing concerns and stigma, and making informed health decisions.
β’ Review patient results, offer educational resources, and conduct clinical follow-ups within the RN scope and established protocols.
β’ Ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
β’ Utilize virtual care tools to communicate with patients and facilitate continuity of care.
β’ Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and support team members to coordinate care and escalate clinical concerns.
β’ Provide up to 20 hours of scheduled live virtual consultations and approximately 5β10 hours of asynchronous patient care on a weekly basis.
β’ Complete a minimum of 10 live consultation hours each week between Friday and Sunday.
β’ Valid multistate Registered Nurse license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
β’ Experience in a clinical nursing role that necessitates independent judgment in medical patient care and/or sexual health.
β’ Familiarity with providing virtual healthcare.
β’ Background in HIV prevention and/or experience working with the LGBTQ2IA+ community.
β’ Strong communication, patient education, and clinical assessment abilities.
β’ Empathetic demeanor and dedication to culturally responsive, inclusive care.
β’ Consistent availability for scheduled consultations and asynchronous responsibilities.
β’ Availability of 20β30 hours per week, including Fridays through Sundays.
β’ Preferred: additional nursing licenses in non-compact states, especially Nevada and/or Oregon.
β’ Preferred: experience in caring for gender-diverse and sexually diverse populations.
β’ Preferred: experience in a private-sector, startup, or technology-driven environment.
β’ Preferred: fluency in Spanish.
β’ 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
β’ Flexible scheduling for asynchronous responsibilities.
β’ Contractors are required to provide their own laptop.
