Technical Support Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver expertise in the cleaning and upkeep of both commercial and residential flooring products.

• Assist sales representatives by providing training, project support, and insights on product performance.

• Offer technical assistance and training to professionals in carpet/floor cleaning, janitorial supplies, facility management, and related sectors.

• Educate new sales representatives on cleaning and maintenance protocols.

• Participate in trade shows as a technical resource, offering training sessions, demonstrations, and expert guidance.

• Evaluate field projects, identify issues, suggest corrective measures, and present solutions to clients.

• Create and submit inspection reports, product evaluations, testing documents, and other related paperwork.

• View field scenarios as training opportunities and cultivate knowledgeable resources among customers.

• Articulate and advocate cleaning and maintenance techniques both verbally and in writing.

• Produce technical literature, bulletins, and maintenance videos, while also providing approval in the Shaw warranty process.

• Conduct cleaning studies to tackle industry-related cleaning challenges.

• Assess and test cleaning chemicals, machinery, and equipment.

• Organize and implement cleaning trials.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial and residential cleaning and maintenance is essential.

• Comprehensive knowledge of cleaning and maintenance processes, methods, equipment, chemicals, and techniques for both commercial and residential settings.

• Proficient public speaking, teaching, and training abilities, both verbally and in written form.

• Capability to engage effectively with customers, installers, sales staff, and general contractors.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and professionalism.

• Ability to safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.

• Self-driven, organized, and possesses strong time management skills.

• Openness to adapt to sudden schedule changes.

• Capacity to travel by car and air independently.

• Competence in performing floor cleaning and maintenance while standing or kneeling.

• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and handle cleaning equipment and materials.

• Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds.

• Willingness to work outside of standard daytime hours and in environments ranging from 40–95°F, with exposure to light dust and spot-cleaning solvents.

• Preferred: experience in resilient cleaning and maintenance and/or relevant professional certifications.

• Preferred: experience in carpet cleaning and maintenance and/or associated professional certifications.
