Technical Solutions BIM Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead training programs, workshops, and onboarding for design technology.

• Continuously enhance the skills of engineering personnel and CAD production teams.

• Establish and enforce BIM Execution Plans, workflows, and protocols for both practice-wide and project-specific needs.

• Supervise multidisciplinary modeling efforts using Autodesk Revit.

• Set project coordinates, shared parameters, LOD 100–500, and COBie data standards.

• Prepare project BIM scopes and technical labor estimates for proposals, contracts, and resource planning.

• Compile and manage 3D federated models utilizing Autodesk Navisworks.

• Conduct clash detection and lead coordination meetings.

• Create mitigation reports and facilitate issue resolution.

• Direct workflows for Common Data Environment and file exchange protocols.

• Perform quality assurance and audits of model health.

• Provide visual sequencing and advanced presentations utilizing InfraWorks, Navisworks Timeliner, and Twinmotion.

• Translate engineering objectives into BIM deliverables.

• Oversee transformations of geospatial data, integrating LiDAR point clouds, DEMs, and field survey control.

• Connect civil infrastructure with vertical infrastructure through cross-platform data integration.

• Serve as the primary BIM authority during client-facing milestones, kickoff meetings, coordination reviews, and project closeouts.

• Mentor junior designers and address complex technical modeling challenges.

• Function as a production designer and contributor to the AECOM Digital innovations team.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or education.

• Sponsorship is available for this position.

• Preference for candidates with 15+ years of relevant experience.

• Preferred candidates should have 12+ years of Revit experience in large-scale and complex multidisciplinary projects.

• Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, BIM 360/ACC, Dynamo, ProjectWise, Microsoft Excel, Google Earth, Navisworks, InfraWorks, Vehicle Tracking, ReCap, ESRI GIS, Blue Marble Global Mapper, or similar GIS applications.

• Experience with OpenGround, GeoPak, and Plant 3D is advantageous.

• Strong technical progression in civil engineering and design.

• Comprehensive understanding of industry standards.

• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

• Proven civil modeling capability in large-scale and complex multidisciplinary projects.

• Ability to work as a production designer and contribute to the AECOM Digital innovations team.

• Attendance at an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location is required.
