This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee client implementations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises settings, guiding them from initial requirements to successful Seqera Platform deployment.
• Set up infrastructure that encompasses networking, DNS, TLS, private CAs, IAM, secrets management, container runtimes, and pipeline storage.
• Ensure adherence to client security and compliance requirements, assisting client IT teams with adjustments when access is restricted.
• Develop consistent and secure deployment tools that include pre-flight checks, clear error reporting, testing, and comprehensive documentation.
• Collaborate with Sales and Scientific Development on designing solutions and executing proof-of-concept deployments.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for recurring client issues.
• Transform persistent client challenges into enduring solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
• Offer technical advice during client discussions and articulate recommendations to scientists, bioinformaticians, IT, and DevOps professionals.
• Assist clients throughout the onboarding process, from initial deployment to production-level science.
• Evaluate and enhance AI-generated Terraform scripts, runbooks, and diagrams prior to their release and provide ongoing support afterwards.
• Profound knowledge in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Multi-cloud proficiency is beneficial.
• Familiarity with HPC schedulers such as SLURM or Grid Engine is appreciated.
• Strong understanding of networking, TLS and certificate management, public and private CAs, IAM, and access control.
• Ability to operate within client security and compliance frameworks.
• Proficient in Terraform.
• Knowledge of CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible is advantageous.
• Expected proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Helm is a significant plus.
• Proven track record of developing and delivering tools utilized by others.
• Comfortable working with Python and Bash.
• Experience in testing, scanning, and documentation as part of the deployment process.
• Understanding of workflow engines operating against remote computation, storage, and container environments.
• Capable of conducting technical onboarding and pre-sales activities.
• Skilled in gathering requirements and navigating uncertain situations.
• Ability to engage effectively with scientists and DevOps engineers.
• Capacity for independent research on unfamiliar challenges.
• Background in life sciences, bioinformatics, or scientific computing is a plus.
• Experience in technical pre-sales is a bonus.
• Familiarity with Nextflow is desirable.
• Previous experience in a startup environment is advantageous.
• Application must include a link to a public code repository and a narrative detailing skills, growth, and responsible AI usage.
