
Technical Sales Specialist – Flow Cytometry Instruments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Deliver technical sales and associated support for flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters within designated academic, government, and industrial accounts.
• Service the Greater Boston area and New England region.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Showcase flow cytometry equipment.
• Engage in local scientific exhibitions and events.
• Maintain awareness of the life sciences market, trends in flow cytometry, and competitive landscape.
• Generate sales opportunities by offering product capabilities, technical specifications, and instrument demonstrations.
• Attend and contribute to sales meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
• Assist researchers by providing innovative flow cytometry instrumentation that enhances scientific discovery.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field is required; a Master’s or PhD is preferred.
• A solid background and experience in flow cytometry is essential.
• Over 5 years of general work experience is required.
• Hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting is preferred, or prior sales experience in instrumentation is acceptable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• Proven success in driving business growth across various business functions.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.
• A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
• Capability to lift 50 lbs. independently.
• Experience working effectively in a matrix environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Sales Force is preferred.
• Understanding of the sales funnel and the ability to advance sales in a dynamic environment.
• A proactive attitude and a strong motivation to achieve sales and capture market share from competitors.
