This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.
• Reach out to and engage with all current and prospective customers within the designated geographical area.
• Promote and provide support for our products and services.
• Efficiently manage time to connect with potential clients and purchasing accounts.
• Identify and capitalize on lucrative sales opportunities.
• Recognize, prioritize, and market products that yield the highest profitability.
• Maintain a high level of responsiveness to customer inquiries and needs.
• Enhance product knowledge by reviewing product data sheets.
• Serve as a problem solver for customer issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with key personnel at account locations.
• Provide detailed written reports following sales calls, including insights on new or lost business, pricing adjustments, usage statistics, and competitive tactics.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales to set objectives, short-term goals, and effective sales strategies.
• Identify primary target accounts for suppliers as necessary.
• Arrange and conduct joint sales calls with supplier representatives.
• Track sales leads from colleagues, trade publications, newspapers, referrals, and other sources.
• Recommend pricing structures and keep logs for non-standard pricing.
• Submit proposals for non-standard pricing for management review and approval.
• Oversee administrative duties in alignment with company practices, policies, and procedures.
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction, minimizing rework, and increasing profitability.
• Establish and nurture effective relationships with company colleagues.
• Candidates must currently reside in the upper Midwest region of the U.S. and be capable of effectively supporting the assigned area, including Canada.
• A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in chemistry) from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of field sales experience is essential.
• Experience in the industry is preferred.
