This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with both new and existing clients.
• Develop and deliver technical sales presentations that highlight the company's value proposition.
• Assess customer inquiries to ensure comprehensive understanding of specifications and requirements.
• Generate and price customer quotations in accordance with company policies.
• Manage the sales pipeline and supply essential data to AES Canada’s commercial department for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with the local indirect sales channel for support and special projects.
• Conduct regular sales visits to key existing and prospective clients.
• Comprehend customer needs, inform engineering staff, and evaluate business environments.
• Engage in site audits and convert equipment observations into viable customer solutions.
• Suggest enhancements or actions to secure business opportunities.
• Present cost-saving and return-on-investment analyses for project justification.
• Organize and deliver training sessions.
• Forecast anticipated sales and future actions for inventory management.
• Investigate potential clients and perform proactive sales and survey calls to foster new business.
• Gather and maintain competitive pricing and service data.
• Propose marketing strategies to effectively and economically promote company products.
• Offer recommendations for the annual sales budget.
• Submit written plans, call reports, and other documentation punctually.
• Comply with company travel and expense policies.
• Execute additional duties as assigned based on business requirements.
• Postsecondary education in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university, or an Interprovincial Trades qualification, or comparable mechanical aptitude and industry experience will be accepted.
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial sales, and/or with mechanical seals, pumps, or rotating equipment.
• Direct experience in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical, Pulp and Paper, Mining, or Water & Wastewater.
• Strong orientation towards people, sales, and service.
• Capability to build and sustain customer contacts and relationships.
• Ability to identify and pursue new client opportunities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adeptness in utilizing technology for information sourcing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles with the ability to interpret material specifications and drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• High work ethic, self-motivation, ambition for success, and capability to work autonomously.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to drive growth and profitability.

• Must have resided in Ontario for 2 of the last 10 years (or in Canada for 5 of the last 25 years).
• Must be immediately eligible to work full-time in Canada.
