This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +2 more countries.
• Present and advocate for RBR instruments to scientific and technical users.
• Build and maintain a robust client portfolio, encompassing research institutions, universities, and environmental engineering companies.
• Cultivate, develop, and retain customer relationships.
• Expand and manage the customer base to ensure enduring partnerships.
• Identify, generate, and sustain business opportunities.
• Prepare commercial proposals and respond to bids.
• Discover new market opportunities and prospects within the fields of oceanography and environmental sciences.
• Represent the RBR brand and its values at conferences, trade exhibitions, and workshops.
• Connect researchers and organizations with advanced technologies that support oceanographic and environmental research.
• A degree in sciences or engineering (BSc, MSc, or PhD) or equivalent experience in high-level technical sales.
• Ideally, more than 5 years of technical sales experience, preferably in oceanographic, marine geophysics, or related scientific instrumentation sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to engage directly with academic institutions, government entities, and private organizations.
• Experience collaborating with end customers and local agents to achieve outstanding sales outcomes.
• A customer-centric mindset combined with a sense of urgency, enthusiasm, and purpose.
• A knack for discovering innovative solutions for customers and for RBR through creative thinking and problem-solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that build trust and nurture lasting partnerships.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25–50% within North America, primarily in Eastern Canada and the United States.
• Experience in ocean technology and measurement.
• Degree in Oceanography or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with CRM systems; experience with Salesforce is advantageous.
