
Technical Sales Manager, HID & Forensics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +10 more states.
• Achieve, surpass, and track sales objectives
• Boost sales of QIAGEN offerings including consumables, instrumentation, and services
• Formulate strategic plans to optimize revenue
• Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Technical, Supply Chain, and other internal teams
• Execute QIAGEN’s corporate strategy for penetrating the HID customer base
• Secure key accounts and implement pricing strategies
• Establish regional goals and tactical plans
• Create and oversee quarterly and annual sales targets, KPIs, and revenue projections
• Utilize Salesforce.com for forecasting and managing daily customer information
• Conduct pre-call preparations and coordinate with the sales team
• Foster new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
• Develop and sustain relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, and references
• Improve customer satisfaction and maintain a competitive edge
• Mentor and collaborate with less experienced colleagues
• Organize meetings and communication pathways across various business units
• Assist sales team members in reaching company objectives and financial targets
• Contribute to product development and the integration of new or acquired technologies
• Collaborate with HID account management and Forensic Applications Specialist teams
• Report directly to the Director of HID Sales for North America
• Candidate must hold a degree in the Life Sciences
• Advanced degree and/or MS or higher in Forensic Sciences is preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in HID/Forensics with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Ability to guide customers and resolve issues throughout the entire HID/Forensic workflow
• Previous sales experience is a plus
• NGS/MPS experience or knowledge is highly favored
• Familiarity with networks such as ASCLD and SWGDAM is preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of and capability to sell across QIAGEN’s automation and complete product portfolio
• Experience with extraction, liquid handling assay setup, qPCR, CE analysis, and NGS
• Awareness of competitive technologies and platforms
• Ability to engage with and educate customers at all organizational levels
• Comfortable delivering technical seminars, oral presentations, and leading meetings and sales calls
• Willingness to travel up to 60%
