Technical Release Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Supervise the complete software release lifecycle.

• Develop and sustain repeatable deployment methodologies to minimize risk and enhance quality.

• Execute structured release workflows to decrease production outages and business interruptions.

• Coordinate with engineering, QA, product, and operations teams to avoid bottlenecks and redundant work.

• Optimize approvals and release processes to accelerate time to market.

• Manage testing, validation, and risk assessment activities.

• Provide daily support for release management inquiries and requests.

• Oversee change scope, release specifications, and the generation of documentation.

• Maintain rollback strategies for swift recovery from deployment challenges.

• Balance competing requirements, resources, and timelines to ensure timely releases.

• Plan and schedule environment refreshes across development, testing, and production environments.

• Handle sandbox creation, updates, and maintenance.

• Define and communicate production deployment windows effectively.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the Technology and Product Engineering departments.

• Train and inform engineers and stakeholders on release management best practices.

• Provide timely insight reporting that aligns with release-related metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Technology is preferred.

• 4–6 years of progressive experience in software development, including at least 4 years of hands-on Salesforce deployment.

• Experience in managing application change delivery within an agile framework.

• Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Framework, Apex, SOQL, and Visualforce.

• Proven history of implementing intricate Salesforce solutions and integrations.

• Experience in planning, scheduling, and executing releases in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

• Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce security models, sharing rules, and governance.

• Significant experience with Copado.

• Strong programming proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript.

• Experience with version control systems, including Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Demonstrated ability to manage challenging trade-offs and meet deadlines.
